Spiritual revolution

I feel there is a spiritual revolution going on right now. Tradition religions like Christianity and its offshoot are no longer "good enough" for more and more people.

For me, religions never felt right with me...with its "God-fearing" views, its insistence that homosexuality is a sin, its attempt to separate "God's" people from those sinners going to hell, its intolerance to other views...blah, blah blah.

I'd rather feel sorry for those who seem to fear God because it is so angry...they are like an abused child...

To me, it seems that the human race have "grown" from a child that needed to fear a punishing God, like a punishing father, to keep it from doing bad to a more mature adolescent that wants to know and explore for his/herself and find "traditions" to be suffocating and limiting.

I've been studying the Kabbalah spiritual system and I feel that it is inclusive, forgiving, loving and empowering...all the things that I feel God is and would want for us.

And for the first time in my life that I can recall, I actually feel comfortable at using the word "God" because I've finally found a God that is right for me (:
